Moving forward by going backwoods

(photo: camping area 3 at Cooper’s Camp)

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend.

I saw on Facebook that several people were out on residential activities, and despite from being a little chilly at least the weather was fairly good for you! – Please let me know if you were away and what you got up to.

I didn’t actually go camping myself but I did do two camping related tasks:

  • 1. booked our ferries for our summer camping holiday in France.
  • 2. visited the Scout Campsite near my house to help scatter some grass seed and tidy up the shed.

Being at the campsite,  Cooper’s Camp – belonging to Southern Norwich District, located in Old Lakenham, about 2 miles from the city centre, reminded me that Sandra Gostling our County Training Manager recently distributed details of a Backwoods Training Weekend on 16/17 May in West Norfolk.

The booking deadline for this training opportunity is this Sunday, so if you have not applied yet please review the following information and consider doing it.

Cheers

Matthew
