Photo: Me in the garden…
Just a very quick blog from me tonight, before I pack my bag for a cheeky little long weekend away!
Next week is Volunteer’s Week so this seems an ideal time to say a big thank you to everyone who volunteers in Scouting week-in-week-out.
Why not next week try and make an extra effort to invite those parents in who are standing in the porch (hopefully not avoiding the rain!) to make them volunteers too.
Let me know how you get on – here are a couple of resources that might help you
From the Scouts: How to involve parents
From Wikihow: How to start a conversation
There is more information about Volunteers week on their website, including some local events. The King’s Lynn Volunteer Fair, YHA Sheringham and Emergency Responders events looked interesting.
Another Thank You…
I sent out an email this week to remind people about the blog. Thank you for all the lovely comments I had back. I know I am a bit rubbish at keeping it up to date, but I will have a bigger team soon to help!
Finally a wow!
Congratulations to Mickey and Zander from our County Duke of Edinburgh Team, who have complete a cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats in an amazing 11 1/2 days !
They are raising fund for Combat Stress and Norfolk Scouts. Good job guys!!! More details are here.
See you soon
