Parents, Cubs and Leaders all huddled together around the Christmas Campfire for a sing-song.
Cub Scouts from Hoveton and Wroxham brought their parents along to the weekly meeting on Wednesday 16 December to enjoy singing and story telling around the ‘indoor Campfire’.
Assistant County Commissioner (Foundation), Jane Warden, sent along to see what was going on.
Mums and Dads were able to join in using the printed song sheets provided. The evening was a chance to reflect over the previous year of programme and look forward to 2016, the Centenary of Cub Scouting.
The Cubs are very excited about the activities planned. Cub Scouts, Abi and Rosie, who are already wearing the special Centenary badges on their uniforms, told Jane that they thought Cubs was ‘awesome’, they can’t wait to take part in the challenges for 2016 and look forward to meeting other Cubs during the year.
Jane spoke to some of the parents who were full of praise for the programme the Cub Pack provides and found out how some of them help out around the group to contribute to their child’s Scouting adventure
