There will be a Scout Skills weekend in May 2017.
Following the success of the Training camps in 2016, Requests have been made to run another one.
The dates will be is 5 – 7 May 2017.
The Venue will be Jessopp Road Scout HQ.
There will be 24 places available – a booking will be confirmed upon receipt of the course fee of £20.

Axe and Saw including Tree Felling.
Lashing and Knot tying ready for pioneering on Sunday,
Construction of Wet and Dry ‘Pits’.
Latrine construction – (for use on Greenfield Sites).

This covers most of the basic stuff that people need to know and will cover most of the practical elements of Section 5 of Factsheet AC120990 which is used for Nights Away Assessment as well as Greenfield General waste and Human waste disposal on Greenfield Camps.
It is open to all sections as Nights Away permits are generic.
