Impact of Scouting on Explorers

Details of an opportunity for Explorer Scouts to shape Scouting

We’re now planning Scouting’s future beyond 2018, thinking about our priorities, the work we wish to continue and any new areas where we can make a difference, all to answer the questions: how can we improve the life chances of young people and better support our volunteers?

UK Scouting want as many members as possible to have the opportunity to contribute to this important process. And so, as part of this consultation, will be surveying 14-17 year old Explorer Scouts asking them how Scouting has impacted their lives.

As an incentive to respond the survey there will be a £500 prize to an Explorer Scout selected at random, as well as a  £1000 to the District that achieves the highest percentage of responses to spend at Scout Shops or Scout Adventures.

The survey will be released to District Explorer Scout Commissioners and Explorer Leaders in the next few days, so please keep an eye out for it and ensure Explorers take part.
