28 year old Cub Scout Leader Jonathan Holder is attempting to break the Guinness world record for skateboarding from John O’Groats in Scotland to Lands End in Cornwall to raise money for charity.
The grueling 822 miles feat will see Jonathan navigate some of the hardest roads in the UK to claim the world record.
Jonathan’s love for adventure started when he was in Scouts in Essex whilst completing his Duke of Edinburgh award Jonathan enthuses “I have been skateboard since I was kid and gained the street sports badge as a result. I love a challenge so why not do it to raise money for charity.
“Giving back to the community is a core feature of my scouting and have brought it through to my adult life. I want to encourage my cubs to follow their dreams and desires and to do it with passion and compassion.”
Jonathan sets off on his adventure on 19th August 2017. Follows his journey on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/jonholdermotivate/.
