Are you able to lead the growth of Scouting and create new provision across Norfolk?
“I really like camping” said William, a Cub Scout from North Norfolk, “It great to be able to have fun with my mates and get away from my parents!”
William is lucky as he moved up to Cub Scouting from Beavers, for many other Young People the ability to join the world’s largest youth movement is restricted because there is no space in their local section.
In 2016, we saw record numbers of Adult Volunteers join, which has allowed us to open new sections and provide more girls and boys with Scouting’s adventure. However to continue and make an even bigger impact we need to coordinate a plan to open more sections with more Adult Volunteers.
Could you be our new volunteer Deputy County Commissioner for Growth, and take a lead delivering our dream to grow Scouting. You will need to have focus, look above boundaries and be able to identify what needs to happen to get Scouting to Young People?
You will be working with key stakeholders both internally and externally of Scouting, you will have to build relationships and will need to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in too.
You would join the County Commissioner, Matthew Burrell and his senior management team, helping to share the future of Scouting in Norfolk, it can be hard work, but Matthew’s team works hard and plays hard, and success is always celebrated!

You can nominate someone for a role, or self nominate (apply), if you would like more details please call Matthew 07736 302113 for an informal chat.
