Young People find their way to Scouting

The first meeting of an exciting trial has taken place.

Norfolk Scouts and Suffolk Scouts are working together to support an exciting trial of delivering the Scout programme in a primary school setting.

The project being led by 1st Fressingfield Scout group will introduce 60 Young People from Yoxford and Peasenhall Primary School to Scouting and Skills for Life.

The school timetable has been altered to allow the opening of a Beaver Scout Colony and Cub Scout Pack in the school of Friday afternoons.

The trial is a culmination of several months of planning between the The Consortium Multi-Academy Trust, Norfolk Scouts and Suffolk Scouts, this the trial is a success the Young People will be invested as full members of Scouting and be able to take part in the wider activities provided by their partner group and Southern Norfolk District.

The Young People seemed to have a lot of fun at their first meeting where the theme was ‘finding the way!’.
