Easing lockdown

An important reminder for all volunteers

Over the last few weeks we’ve seen the Government restriction on the movement of individuals and small groups change. Generally this has seen conditions of lockdown gradually eased and we expect to see more flexibility in the coming weeks if control of the coronavirus spread remains.

This is a reminder that all face-to-face Scout meetings, activities and events are suspended as they have been since 17 March 2020.

This includes meetings involving young people and those with just adults.

There may now be some limited requirements for adults to safely visit Scout premises to perform maintenance, more details can be found here, but these are exceptions not normality.

For the time being please continue meeting online as sections or adult groups.

Regardless of advice from Government or other agencies face-to-face Scout meetings will remain suspended in Norfolk until the County Commissioner has the permission of the Chief Commissioner of England for them resume.

Please be aware that different parts of the UK may restart Scout meetings at different times.
