Safeguarding refresher training (via Zoom)

Peter and Trudy our Safeguarding Awareness Coordinators are providing opportunities to refresh your knowledge.

Young people thrive in secure surroundings, at home and away. Wherever we go and whatever we do, we put young people’s safety and wellbeing first.

There is an elearning available to complete at home, you can find it here: scouts.org.uk

 

Zoom delivered sessions

If you prefer a more traditional training approach (bearing in mind we are unable to meet face-to-face at the moment) then we are also delivering Safeguarding refresher training via Zoom.

We’ve got two sessions planned:

Wednesday 1 July at 19:30

Thursday 9 July at 19:30

The sessions will be finished by 21:00, we encourage people to arrive at 19:15 to check mics and headphones 🙂  (note: you only need to attend one)

Attending a session with Trudy and Peter allows you to ask questions as the session goes on, stop to discuss points and confidentially share experiences and scenarios as participants.

We delivered our first Zoom Safeguarding Referesher recently and it has received very positive feedback from those who attended.

When you complete the training your Compass records will be updated.

 

Places are limited on the Zoom sessions to ensure that an appropriate size audience. You can book via Eventbrite (1 July or 9 July)
