Training opportunities are available to adults in a variety of methods, and locations, to suit volunteers’ needs, availability and learning preferences.

How to Access the Training
- Meet with a Training Adviser (TA) and agree a Personal Learning Plan (PLP)
- Implement PLP through chosen methods (eg accreditation, workshop, workbook, e-learning)
- Complete workshop Application Form (if appropriate) countersigned by Local Training Manager (LTM) and submitted with fee to registrar
- Attend workshops (if appropriate) Validate all required modules.
Module Training Locations 2009
As in 2008, the venue for most Modules this year will be fixed one month before the delivery date of the module, based on the home addresses of the people booked in at that time. All information will then be sent to individuals in the usual way. Later applications will still be accepted, spaces allowing. The venues for the Residential option weekends are given in the programmeCost of Training
Modules 1, 2, 3, 18 and 10 are priced locally by DistrictsModules 6 and 17 are included free with 5 and 16 respectively.
Module 16 £50 (residential)
Full Multi-Module weekend £50 (residential)
Lesser number of Modules @ £10 (includes meals as appropriate)
Single module £10
Group or District cheques, made payable to Norfolk County Scout Council
to be sent with the completed application form to your LTM.
For administration ease please use a separate form for applications on different
dates, unless on a combined weekend.
Working towards a Woodbadge?
Watch out for an invitation to a drop-in session near you, being arranged by your LTM. You can validate your learning and keep your progress moving, with or without your own TA.Struggling as a TA?
Not enough time? Lost the way? Want some reassurance? Go along to a District training surgery. Contact your LTM for details.Ongoing Learning
If your appointment is due for review this year, you will be expected to show your log of Ongoing Learning – a minimum of 5 hours for each year since you achieved your Woodbadge.Have you considered Module 25 – Assessing Learning and working as a TA?
Be the support for one of those new adults that you have recruited through all the fantastic activities your local Scouting has been seen doing in 2008.Any questions or concerns?
