NEW - Supporting Adult Learner Training - Conferences 2008

The SALT Conferences are running in June and July at locations in the north, south, Norwich city centre and the centre of the county and are being offered to those that have been on a module 25 course since 2002, as well as any GSLs and DC's that haven't attend this module yet.

The conferences will support the vital role of the Training Adviser in supporting adult leader training and validation and have been organised as a direct response to feedback from people who wanted an update on resources, further support and advice on assessing evidence for validations and a response to the results of the ongoing auditing of evidence accepted by TAs for adults working towards a Wood Badge.

With Module 25 undergoing a major re-drafting and the roles of LTMs and Training Advisers constantly being reviewed to get them as effective as possible to support front line leaders, the time is ripe to pause, reflect, plan and move forward.

Local Training Managers have been sent this information and will be contacting active and past TAs in the areas they support, District Commissioners are asked to help them promote the events, attend the events and actively encourage people within their districts to attend one of the conferences.

You can attend the conference that best fits your diary, rather than your geography.
