East Norfolk's Scouting 2007

It's going to be a BIG year for Scouting in East Norfolk: Here's the plan...

JANUARY...
Group Scrapbook Launch - a challenge for all groups to start to make a scrapbook of their Scouting Centenary year.
Leaders Activity Day and Lunch...Sunday 14th Jan. A fun filled day to kick start the 2007 programme.

FEBRUARY...
Moot 2007  Hunstanton

MARCH...
Floral Arrangements to celebrate Scouting are planned across the County - Our tribute will be in the Town Centre.

APRIL...
St.Georges Day Event...
Sunday 22nd April @ seafront. All the traditional ceremony of St.Georges Day along with a
special celebration fitting 100 years of Scouting. Parade along seafront to the Hippodrome for
entertainment.

MAY...
District 2007 Camp- 26th to 28th May @ Cliff Park School. Every one in District joining together.

JUNE...
Celebration Service - Sunday 10th June @ Norwich Cathedral.

JULY...
World Jamboree...participants from the District.
Brownsea Island Camp...2 PL's from District to attend.
Scouting Lamp Event...Tuesday 31st July- thro' the night. Our District celebrates with the Norfolk Scouting Lamp.

AUGUST...
Scouting Lamp Event...Wednesday 1st August. Lamp arrives in Yarmouth at approx 2.30 in morning...will you dare to be part of the fun. Lamp arrives by various means...boat, horse and cart, bus, lifeboat, treckcart etc.
District Sunrise Ceremony....Wed 1st August - 8am. Yarmouth seafront.
Gifts For Peace..Saturday 3rd & Sun 4th August. Environmental work days to plant trees for the future.

SEPTEMBER...
District Reunion - 15th September.

OCTOBER...
King and Queen's Scout Reception. Sat 6th October. Sandringham.

NOVEMBER...
Scouting Lamp in District.
County Celebration Dinner at the Racecourse.

DECEMBER...
Free to rest....get ready for 2008.
