Northern Norwich District
The District of Northern Norwich has 14 Groups within it’s boundries. These are situated in
Reepham, Spixworth, Catton, Hellesdon (2), Drayton, Taverham, Costessey (2), Mile Cross
area (3), Horsford and Cawston.
There are also 4 Explorers units, which are based at Spixworth, Hellesdon, Reepham and
Drayton.
Northern Norwich currently has a membership of over 1000 (adults and young people).
Leaders are responsible for putting on enjoyable weekly programmes which include age
related activities.
All programme activities come from a balanced programme of ideas and ideals set by the
Scout Association. Such Leaders are supported by their own Group Scout Leaders and that of the
District Team, County Team and Local Training Manager.
All Groups are encouraged to participate in District and County events, such as sleepovers,
camping experiences, fun days and water activity weekends.
Events celebrating special Scouting dates include Centenary Camps, Jamborees and Sectional
Camps and Trips.
