Southern Norwich District is contained within
an area bounded to the east by the River Yare
and by the Dereham Road to the north, to the
west the District includes villages such as
Saxlingham and Mulbarton then Loddon to the
south. Together the District includes 13 Groups,
of which two are joint Scout and Guide Group
and one of these is the Group at the Norfolk
and Norwich University Hospital that runs
meetings for young people in hospital and also
meets at the
Clare School offering scouting to those young people with special needs.With a current an area bounded to the east by the River Yare

membership of over 790 (adults and young people) Scouting is quite strong and is enjoying the new
Scouting programme.

| Cringleford Scout Centre |
The Cringleford Scout Centre has reached the first phase finish of shell with walls and roof . Fitting out internally is expected to take 3/4 months with completion by spring. The new building will provide a multi activity centre with catering and sleeping facilities suitable for weekend group use . |
