Is your group represented at our adult recruitment workshops?
Following feedback from District Commissioners and Group Scout Leaders that many people struggled with recruitment techniques and tools we have arranged for Jack Higgins from the HQ Regional Services Team to deliver two recruitment and retention session in Norfolk sessions on Saturday 21 October and Sunday 22 October.
Bookings are coming in, but why not check that someone from your group is going to help bring these important skills back to your patch.

Session 1 will be on Saturday afternoon at Poultec Training in Matishall, and Session 2 on Sunday morning at Acle Recreation Centre. You only need to attend 1 session.
Everyone needs a little help with recruitment. We’re offering some tips and sharing some tools to help you promote volunteering within your group and District
We will be looking at what has already worked locally, along with creating adverts, fliers and cards to promote your vacancies. We’ll also be looking at different places to promote Scouting, to include community areas, businesses, social media and the parents/carers of our young people.
Included in the workshop will be how we engage with our new volunteers ensuring they feel included, welcome and know how Scouting will support them and their ongoing development. As well as talking about some of the different resources available to help you from HQ and their practical uses.
It’s free, open to any role and we hope you will take lots of ideas away, along with actual vacancy adverts for your Group.
