Scouts and Explorers from the Holkham area enjoy a unique residential

The Young People and Adults were spending the weekend at Burnham Overy Windmill, the local Scouts are invited to stay there once a year by the owners, the National Trust.

In return the Scouts support the various projects needed to make the mill accessible to families and groups as a place to stay. Recently the Nelson Rural Group have helped fundraise for a new oven for the refurbished kitchen.

County Commissioner, Matthew Burrell, visited the Young People on Saturday 13 January when they were preparing for an afternoon hike and cooking lunch.

Matthew heard about what the Young People had planned for the rest of the year and how they enjoy using the mill as a very special place to stay.

While he was there, Matthew was presented with a new badge the Group have introduced to give to members who spend a night in the mill.
