An important message for Groups who have completed the Norfolk County Council Chairman’s Challenge.
As you know my theme for my civic year has been to promote and raise awareness for youth organisations and community youth development work in Norfolk. Also to promote volunteering and the importance of this to youth organisations in particular.
I launched my theme last September at my reception which was attended by many guest from around the County who were able to enjoy meeting some of the different groups and youth organizations we have here in Norfolk offering our young people a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities.
The deadline for the Challenge is now almost upon us, 31st March.
Please cascade this to your Groups/Units/Detachments etc around the county.
I now need the Groups/Units/Detachments name as they would like it to appear on the certificate and for those who would like badges too the total number for their group. Please let my PA have these details no later than Friday 6th April as they need to be ready for the reception on Friday 27th April here at County Hall, formal invitations for representatives will go out early April.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported my Challenge and for all the invitations to visit and see for myself what our young people are doing across the county. It has been a most interesting year and an honor to have met with so many of you.
Cllr John Ward
Chairman of Norfolk County Council
