Members of Scouting and other organisations attended County Hall on Friday 27 April to receive awards
Last September the Chairman of Norfolk County Council, Cllr John Read, challenged any youth organisation in Norfolk to take part in an activity to engage with lonely, isolated or vulnerable people in their local communities. Over 500 young people took part via Scouting, Guiding or through other organisations.
The groups that took part were celebrated with a reception at County Hall on Friday 27 April, and special badges have been made available to be worn on Uniforms.
Well done to Long Stratton Cubs, Mattishall Beavers, 17th Norwich Scouts and Spixworth Scout Group for the great efforts to promote Scouting’s community themes through this activity. All Norfolk’s Scouting Volunteers were also recognised with a special certificate.
