A bit about Paul….
I first took up a leadership role a quarter of a century ago and I hope to keep going at least that long again! Over the years I’ve worked across Cornwall, Nottingham and Norfolk with Beavers, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Venture Scouts and the Student Scout and Guide Organisation.
My Scouting in Norfolk started with Sheringham and Beeston Regis Scout Group in the late 1990’s where I helped re-establish their Venture Scout Unit and was involved in the transition into Explorer Scouts. I’ve been with 1st Tasburgh Scout Group for the last 15 years or so, first as Scout Leader, then as Explorer Scout Leader.
I’m looking forward to hearing how groups encourage their Scouts to move into Explorers and hope to spread some of the best ideas to ensure we retain more young people. I’d also love to find out how you promote youth involvement in your programme planning.
