Applications close on 3 May 2020
I hope you are staying safe and well in these uncertain times.
I am writing to you all to spread awareness of the World Scout Moot in 2021 which is taking place in Ireland with over 5,000 Scouts from around the world expected to attend.
Applications to express an interest in attending close next week on 3 May.
The 16th World Scout Moot takes place from 19 – 29 July 2021 and members of The Scouts aged between 18 and 25 can attend. This means you’ll have been born between 19 July 2003 and 18 July 1995.
If you’re outside of this age range, don’t worry! A hard working squad of International Service Team (IST) are being recruited aged 25 and over (born on 19 July 1995 or earlier) who will make the event happen.
Please see the attached poster or visit www.scouts.org.uk/moot for more details, including how to apply. Please share this with any of your friends in Scouts and spread the word!
I am aware that we are living through unusual times and that there is a lot of uncertainty at the moment. Signing up to express an interest in the Moot by 3 May is not a commitment to attend.
Attendees will be confirmed in June at which time you will be able to decide if you are in a position to commit to the event. Putting in an application form now does not sign anyone up for payments or fully tie you down to the event should things change.
The UK Contingent are also running their inclusion fund process alongside recruitment so that you will know exactly how much you will be required to pay prior to committing.
Please let me know if you have any queries in advance of applying.
Yours in Scouting,
Assistant County Commissioner (International)
