We have great pleasure in announcing two appointments in the People Workstream
Jim Coote has been appointed County Training Manager (quality assurance and reporting).
He will be reviewing Compass records to establish how we can best provide training within the county. He will also be recommending to Gilwell those leaders who have completed all their modules required for their Wood Badges.
In his ‘day job’, Jim is the managing director of an adult training company and a health and safety consultant. We will try not to make scouting too much of a bus-man’s holiday for him.
Jim said “I look forward to my new role as a County Training Manager. My main focus will be to ensure that all the adult leaders in the County are provided with the required training to undertake their roles and that any gaps are identified and filled. I am looking forward to continuing my scouting journey.”
Jim can be contacted on: firstname.lastname@example.org
Clara Smith has also been appointed to the role of Assistant County Commissioner for Inclusion.
Clara will be the lead on inclusion and available to offer advice to any groups that may feel they need some extra help with their young people or adult leaders.
Clara is a full-time teacher of children with special needs in Norfolk. It is great we are able to have volunteers who are experts outside of Scouting but are willing to share their time and skills with us.
Clara said “I am looking forward to joining the county team as ACC Inclusion. I hope to support adults to enable all people, young and old, to be part of Norfolk Scouting.”
Clara’s email address is: email@example.com
