We’re looking for a new County Chair

The County Chair leads our Executive Committee (Board of Trustees), ensuring that it fulfils its responsibilities within the County.

The Chair works closely with the County Commissioner to achieve the purpose of The Scout Association through the development of local Scouting, in accordance with the County Constitution and Policy, Organisation and Rules of The Scout Association.

This is a unique time for Scouting and the greater community as we come to terms with recovery following Covid-19 restrictions.

As a charity we’re well placed to be resilient but it is important that we stay focused and plan for the near and longer term future to ensure the we’re here to continue providing young people with skills for life. Our work with young people in our local communities is as important now, more than ever as we’ve seen the next generations’ struggles through lockdown and additional strains applied to family life.

Do you think you could be a strategic leading light in our organisation? or do you know someone who could be?
