We’re increasing the support we provide to our members.
The disruption of the past few months has changed many of our habits and the way we do things. I wonder if you can remember the last time you were “up city, shopping…”
For much of the time since last March we’ve not been able to open the ‘Trading Post’, our little shop that provides a service to Scouters and Guiders from the Alec Bussey Scout Centre. We’ve been delighted to be able to help you remotely by processing mail order and click and collect.
We’ve heard the feedback from many people that they like to support local Scouting but can find it a bit hard to do business with us when we’re closed. Well, all that now changes with the launch of our new online shop.
The online shop will allow you to browse and make purchases that will be posted out to you why not take a look today?
What else is changing?
We’ve took the decision to call our online shop ‘The Norfolk Scout Shop’, while we’re really proud of our Trading Post, it is not a name that is familiar to parents and carers who will try to find us using Google.
We’re going to adopt the name for our physical shop too, but we’re sure many of you will still call it the Trading Post!

What is staying the same?
We’re committed to having a ‘real’ shop to serve our members so don’t worry we don’t plan to go totally online. When the government allows non-essential retail to reopen, we will start opening on Fridays and Saturdays.
We’ll still happily take email or telephone orders to post out or to collect
The wonderful team
Our staff members Mark and Judith are looking forward to serving you again in real-life or digitally and we hope to welcome back shop volunteers when it is safe to do so.
We look forward to helping you soon!
